All Three CAE Campuses Now Participating

We are delighted to announce that all three campuses of Columbus Adult Education Center & Youth Programs are now participating in the “Light the World” Giving Machines program. This meaningful initiative gives our students, families, staff, and community a simple and impactful way to serve others and make a difference.

The Giving Machines program, aligned with the spirit of service embraced by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, offers a creative and hands-on giving experience.

  • Instead of buying something for oneself, donors select a card representing a needed gift such as clean water, meals, school supplies, healthcare, or hygiene kits.
  • The machine then processes the donation and ensures that 100% of the gift is directed toward fulfilling the item selected.
  • It’s an interactive, visible way to show how small acts of giving can reach around the world, and to teach compassion, service, and community-mindedness.

Why CAE Is Involved

At CAE we are committed to empowering individuals through education, self-reliance and community building. By bringing the Giving Machines program into all our campuses, we’re expanding the opportunity for students, families, faculty, staff, and supporters to step into service and global citizenship.

With participation at each campus, everyone in our CAE community will have convenient access to contribute whether they’re coming for class, volunteering, visiting, or attending a community event.

How It Works at CAE

  • Visit the Giving Machine at your campus location.
  • Browse the available gift cards on the machine and select the one you feel moved to give.
  • Complete your donation via the machine’s simple payment interface (card or mobile payment accepted).
  • You’ll receive a receipt and know that 100% of your gift goes to the item you selected.
  • Feel free to take a photo or share your contribution on social media, you’ll be helping raise awareness and inspire others.

What Your Gift Can Make Possible

  • Your donation through the Giving Machine could provide:
  • School supplies and education support for children in underserved communities
  • Meals, clean drinking water, or hygiene kits for families in need
  • Tools, or livelihood grants that help a family move toward self-reliance
